VICE TV: Icons Unearthed Key-Art
As Art Director and Designer, I created key art for the VICE TV show, Icons Unearthed. The docuseries explores the history and behind-the-scenes makings of popular films. The key art concepts center on the shape of the earth, with the main element and background changing based on the film’s content. I also created logotypes for the show’s key art, which must be recognizable for viewers, but cannot copy the franchise’s true logo (legally). In the same vein, other copyrighted imagery (ex. exact bat symbol for Batman) must be legally avoided. This, coupled with finding concepts to contextually fit the large circular shape was a fun challenge!
